Our First Farm Christmas

We don’t have our families close for the holidays, but we were excited to make our farm family traditions on our first Christmas at the farm.

We don’t have a lot of pine trees on the farm, so we had to buy our tree from a local tree farm.

Modest little tree all snugged in the corner

Once we brought it home, we decided to decorate it with only meaningful ornaments. The plan is to pick up ornaments along our travels rather than buying big box store options. So this year’s tree is a little sparse, but we still love it.

Once the tree was decorated, mother nature decided to grant us just a little snow. Not enough to fully cover the ground, but enough to make it feel Christmas-y.

We rounded out our Christmas celebrations with some yummy cookies.

And we were so busy unwrapping and enjoying our gifts, that we didn’t snap any photos to share. Next year, we will do better. We are so excited to continue these and add new traditions.
