River Mountain Farm Solar Production

In 2020, River Mountain Farm invested in a grid-tied solar array that is projected to generate 105% of our annual energy consumption, covering all of our needs and sending a little back to the grid for our neighbors, and for the planet. We installed the array on the lower roof of the original barn, which has been on the farm for more than 130 years, to bring together old and new, historic and modern, for our family and for our guests.
